1. Agreement
By creating a Hashproof account or using the Hashproof API, you agree to these terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys confidential and for activity on your account. Notify us immediately at security@hashproof.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use Hashproof to:
- Sign or attest to content you have no rights to.
- Generate provenance claims intended to deceive — e.g., attributing synthetic media to a human source, or stripping and replacing legitimate manifests.
- Attempt to exhaust our rate limits, probe our infrastructure, or circumvent billing.
- Upload content that violates applicable law.
4. Fees and billing
Paid tiers are billed monthly or annually in advance. Overage is billed at the end of the cycle at the rates posted on the pricing page. We may change prices with 30 days' notice; existing paid subscriptions keep current pricing through the end of the committed term.
5. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Hashproof a worldwide, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit your content solely to operate the service. Hashproof retains ownership of the API, SDKs, brand, and underlying software.
6. Service level
Free and Growth tiers are provided without an SLA. Scale includes a 99.9% monthly uptime commitment with service credits. Enterprise SLAs are defined contractually.
7. Warranty disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, except where prohibited by law.
8. Liability
Except for indemnification obligations, Hashproof's aggregate liability is capped at the greater of US $100 or fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate for convenience with 30 days' written notice. We may suspend immediately for breach of the acceptable-use section or non-payment. Your data is retained per the retention windows in the Privacy Policy.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes go to the state and federal courts of Delaware.
