Where enforcement stands today

We're rolling tier controls out in stages, and we'd rather be plain about what is live than imply more than we enforce. Enforced today: monthly manifest and verification quotas and per-minute rate limits — requests past them return HTTP 429 — plus per-tier API-key limits, where creating a key beyond your cap returns HTTP 403. Not yet enforced:

  • Tier feature restrictions are not yet enforced — the working features gated to higher tiers above are currently available on every plan. Federation is the exception (see below).
  • Automated retention and expiry are not yet enforced — your data is retained at least as long as your tier's window, but automated deletion has not shipped yet (see the Privacy Policy).
  • Metered overage billing is not yet available — past your monthly quota, requests return HTTP 429 rather than incurring charges.
  • Federation (multi-registrar sync and cascading resolution) is on the roadmap and is not yet generally available.
